Why isnt the file dragged downloading in itunes

I tried importing directly in Logic from the Media button on the right and it didn't work (rather than dragging in from iTunes or Finder). I'm at a loss! AM in response to Salvida. In response to Salvida. You cannot drag files to playlist folders or smart playlists. iTunes will silently refuse to import files it doesn't think are valid. Whether or not you can create a new playlist may depend on exactly what part of the library is active at the time.
